About Mikayla
Life transitions and uncertainty don't discriminate — everyone faces moments of change that can feel overwhelming. Having support and a place for expression during those times can make all the difference. Providing that has been a turning point for clients I've worked with, and it brings me genuine joy. I've moved through major transitions of my own, and those experiences gave me the perspective and tools to walk alongside others doing the same.
I also work with people impacted by complex trauma. It's rarely as black and white as it's often portrayed. Shame, guilt, and forgiveness aren't linear — they unfold over time, and supporting that process takes patience, compassion, and consistency. I consider it an honor to walk alongside clients as they build something meaningful in the aftermath of what they've been through.
I know opening up is hard, especially when you're carrying something heavy. Taking that first step takes courage. You deserve a place where you can be fully yourself — heard, respected, and supported — regardless of your past or the doubts you bring with you. That's the work I've made my own.

Therapeutic Style
Three words my clients tend to use: compassionate, nurturing, accountable. I bring warmth and direct structure together — my sessions are collaborative and conversational, with a strong psychoeducational backbone. Understanding why something is happening matters just as much as learning how to cope with it. When something gets stuck, my instinct is to reframe — to step back and look at it from a different angle. I regularly assign between-session work, because the change happens in the days between, not just in the hour.
Communities I Serve
Age groups: Young adults (18–25), Adults (26–40), Midlife adults (41–60), Older adults (60+).
In Mikayla's Words
"Every day is a new day to become who you desire to be. The outcomes are up to you."
Something I say a lot in session: "Life is about progression, not perfection."
Outside of therapy: event planning, and spending time with my son — more than anything.
Before Your First Session
I know opening up can be hard, especially when you're carrying something heavy. Taking that first step takes courage, and it isn't always easy to trust someone with your story. You deserve a place where you can express yourself freely and process your truth without fear of judgment — where you're heard, respected, and supported regardless of your past or the doubts you bring with you. That's the work I've made my own.
