MA, LMHC • she/her • Telehealth Therapist

You don't have to know exactly what you need from therapy before you reach out — we can figure that out together. Stormie works with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or misunderstood, and helps them make sense of the patterns underneath it without ever making them feel judged.

About Stormie

I'm at my best collaborating with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of what comes next. I'm comfortable with complicated — complicated feelings, complicated relationships, complicated histories — and I help clients make sense of their patterns without judgment. Understanding what's happening is only half the work; the other half is actually creating change, and I bring practical strategies and creative approaches to get there.

I'm drawn to work that lets people feel understood without having to fit themselves into a box. Many of the people I work with are navigating trauma, identity, relationships, anxiety, life transitions, or the experience of being misunderstood or marginalized. My work with LGBTQ+ and transgender clients, along with my training in sexuality and sexology, has deepened my passion for helping people explore identity, intimacy, and sexual wellness in an affirming environment.

My background is intentionally multidisciplinary: specialized experience in substance use and recovery, forensic mental health evaluation, and complex clinical presentations. I'm also a very creative person — art, beauty, anime, and other forms of creative expression — and that carries into my clinical work. If traditional sit-down-and-talk therapy has never quite fit you, we'll find something that does.

Therapeutic Style

Warm, collaborative, and real — but not passive. I'll be direct with you, and I'm willing to challenge you when you're ready for it. I explain what's happening and why, because understanding your own mind shouldn't be a mystery. When you get stuck, my instinct is to help you reframe — find the angle you couldn't see from where you were standing. And I do assign things to try between sessions, because an hour a week is a starting point, not the whole work. When it fits, I bring in creative approaches: art, movement, even anime-informed interventions. Therapy should be individualized, not one-size-fits-all.

In Stormie's Words

"Nonjudgmental. Compassionate. Real."

Something she says a lot in session: "Tell me something that went well for you this week."

Before Your First Session

Therapy with me is a judgment-free zone where you can be honest about what you're actually experiencing. I work collaboratively, so we're not going to spend every session just talking about what's wrong. We'll work together to understand what's happening, figure out what you need, and find approaches that actually fit you.
